Can you please provide more information?
Sounds like you may be trying to update your device software. Is that correct?
What version do you currently have installed on your device?
Did you download the device software from your carrier's website?
What happens when you try to upgrade your device software by connecting your device to the computer and navigating to www.blackberry.com/upgrade from your PC browser?

Yes I am trying to upload the device, but unfortunatly in the process I accidentally deleted everything from my curve 9300.
I am on a vista if that helps with anything
currently it is on the 5.0 bundle 1440
I have downloaded it from a websight and it is installed on my computer. However, the desktop manager does not recognize it. Also when I simply try to upgrade it to the possible upgrade(which is still not the one I am looking for) it tells me i need an active BB subscription.

Do you mean that your PC doesn't detect your device when its connected or the Desktop Software doesn't recognize the device software you installed on the PC?
Have you tried updating your software by connecting your device to the PC and browsing to www.blackberry.com/upgrade using your PC browser?

When you get to the webpage, click the Update Now button. Are you able to update the software this way?

When you say The Desktop Software shows bundle 1879 available but won't let you upgrade to it, what happens when you try to upgrade?
According to your carrier's website you should be upgrading to v. 126.96.36.1998. That should be what is installed on your PC. If this is not showing as available in your Desktop Software, try uninstalling it then re-downloading it from your carrier's website and re-installing it on your PC. Then try the upgrade again.

I am not getting it from my carriers website I am getting it from this website:
And I need the that specific bundle. I have tried to redownload it, but that still wont recognize in the desktop manager. I'm not sure what is wrong...
