Distressed!!

I can't seem to locate/find any of my media, not on the media card (where bulk of my items are stored) or on the device memory.
Please help, I'm about to pull out my hair!

Re: Distressed!!

Go to your Media icon on your device > Explore > and navigate through all folders.

What "media" is it that you are specifically looking for?

Re: Distressed!!

Thanx for the response...

Well, I have done that and all I get is that all folders are unable to display any items. I would think that I have somehow deleted all my files in pursuit of getting them available again but my memory is used up - so they are still there I just cannot retrieve it.

Which "media": pictures, videos, music, etc

Re: Distressed!!

Do a reboot on the device: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Now, give the device five minutes to rescan the media card before opening or looking at anything, and then check the media card folders again.

Re: Distressed!!

How would you have deleted them?

GET the card OUT of the BlackBerry, get an SD card adapter and use this software to read and recover the deleted files:

Good luck.

Re: Distressed!!

Thank you so very much, I would try that out as soon as I've crept out of some hidden dark hole.

I have no idea what stupidity I practiced to achieve such irrevocable damage, no idea!

Thanx again...

Re: Distressed!!

I have one more question: Do I need to do the data recovery using a SD adapter or can I not just plug my phone into my computer via USB?

Re: Distressed!!

Well you could try that and just go into Computer>devices with removable storage

One question first, when you were in "explore",  did you click Menu> "show hidden"?

I would recommend trying that first off.

But JSanders suggestion of the card reader is by far the best.

Re: Distressed!!

Well, thanks Raelic for your input, but after much blood, sweat & tears I managed to retrieve some of my files... I downloaded JSanders' suggested software, tried my phone via my computer theory and got satisfactory results (I could only save four folders).

But without the help I got here I would've given up and lost everything ... So thank you once again! :smileyhappy:
