Do I Need To Upgrade?

I have 4.5.037 OS. I have some questions and issues such as;
Does my video camera not have a zoom option? I use the track ball but nothing happens. My phone operates fine with no problems that I know of everywhere else and I wondered, do I need to upgrade to a later OS? If so which is recommended and why? I gotta 8310 with ATT carrier if this helps.

I have the same model and if I move my trackball up/down the camera zooms in/out. Or you can also try using the Volume Up/Down keys to zoom. I believe the official AT&T release of OS 4.5 is on Sept 23. So we'll find out then if they have a higher version that the .037 one that you have right now

most camera issues can be solved by a hard reboot :

1. remove the battery and wait for a minute
2. put it back
3. wait 5min for the blackberry to wake up.

are things better ?

From what I gather so far, the video camera does not have a zoom function. (Bummer)

If you logg onto to www.crackberry.com they have all the upgrades that you need for your bb curve.  I am a member of the site and love it very much.  I have a bb curve 8320 and I upgraded my bb off of the crackberry.com site and I love the new change that was upgraded on my phone.

No sorry, it would work on camera but video does not have a zoom option, I have learned. Thanks for your imput though.
