E-mail Message Indicator

I have three email accounts set up on my BB.  Two of them have a constant (always on) email message indicator (the bright red asterisk) in spite of all messages in those accounts having been opened.  To boot, there is no e-mail message count indicator (the yellow envelope preceded by a number) on the home page.  What's going on?

Hi there!

 

Many possibilities.

 

Non-emails -- from within a messages list, click the BBKey and select View Folders...go through each and every one of them looking for an unread message. More than just your emails come into the Messages app.

 

Stuck indicators -- it happens. A batt-pop reboot can cure it...with power ON, remove the battery. Wait a minute. Put it back in. Power up.

 

Give those a shot for the moment before we branch to others things.
