I have a BB Curve 8520 for about a year and a half, which I bought unlocked. It currently runs OS 5. This all started when I tried to add a new e-mail account to the device. I first went to E-mail settings in the configuration folder, but then remembered I had to do it through the BIS website. So I did, and the account was added. But when I selected to syncronize the calendar and contacts with the e-mail account both the confirmation e-mails and the website required me to go to e-mail setting in my phone to confirm to start the sync. Except the e-mail settings still won't open. I click on the icon and nothing happens. So I asked help from tech support from my service provider (Vodafone), who told me it was probably a software malfunction, that when I tried to open e-mail settings a loop was created without opening the application, and that the best way to solve it was by making a backup and "format" the device. So I did, but the issue remains...
As anyone faced such issues or has an ideia of what may be causing it/ how can it be solved?
