EMAIL PROBLEM

I have a BlackBerry 9380 Curve and my emails have stopped being pushed to the cellphone. I have made a number of calls to O2 (provider)  but the advice is largely 'have you tried turning it off and turning it on again?' - very IT Crowd, but no use. Any ideas please?

Re: EMAIL PROBLEM

First, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Don't turn it off and back on. That does nothing.

If still have problems:

1) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.

2) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830

3) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Re: EMAIL PROBLEM

Many thanks for this - it was an elegant solution which worked really well and was far simpler to accomplish than the verbiage offered by O2 Customer Services!

Re: EMAIL PROBLEM

Dear Sir,

With high expectation i recently bought a BB 9360 Curve with Service Provider STC. Now its best among all options, i try to configure my email on it only "enterprise option" appears.

Now,

1. when i approached STC provider they are telling that there is some issue with the handset.

2. Is there no way in which i can access BB mails without BIS plan not on Wifi?

3. is there any requirement of activating blackberry id? i have already done that.

Please explain the full steps to me as i am deeply frustrated with this issue.

Hope to get a solution for this problem.

You must have the BlackBerry Data Plan on your STC account. There is no way around that for proper on-device email.

A generic data plan won't do.

WiFi only will not do it.
