Hi 

I used my my phone only on Edge(2G) and got 2-3 days battery life. When I did the latest software update is took away the option to choose 2G only and replaced is with 2G&3G or 3G. This changed my battery life to about 1.25 days. Can I download something to get the edge(2G) only option bat again.

I don't really get what you mean,
You can connect to desktop manager and possibly downgrade the device if I'm not wrong.

Hi,

The OS version will not allow you choose network type and there is no addon available that will allow you to do so. However, downgrading OS could be an option.

Exactly as Tanzim stated, you could downgrade back the old OS.

What OS are you on now, and what were you on previously? What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > Device > About, third line down beginning with a "v.6.0.x.xxx", What is yours?

On My 9320 i am on: 7.1 Bundle 1647 (v7.1.0.523, Platform 9.49.0.47) 

To Downgrade Your BlackBerry OS you need BlackBerry Desktop Software.
