Hi,
I would like to know if restore is done, do the email filters get restored to the exact same order as they were on the phone? We have filters set on our work blackerry that need to be in the exact order they were backed up.

Is 'work' Blackberry on a corporate BES account?
If so, wiping and restoring data TO the handheld device won't affect email filters which are stored ON your email server.

The email filters are ON THE blackberry and they were backed up with anticipation of a "security wipe"(IT's terms not mine). If filters are setup ON the Blackberry, do they get uploaded to the server?

Well, who or where did you read this?
'cause quite honestly, I don't think it's right. There ARE email folders (inbox, spam) ON the BlackBerry, but the filters apply to the server, BEFORE the mail is sent to the BlackBerry, not after.

I do believe that we have a BES server. If that is the case, then I must bring up my original question.
First some background.
We are changing servers. If the email rules are not migrated to the new server for whatever reason and I restore a backup from the Blackberry Desktop Software to the device, will they be restored in the order that they were on the phone and uploaded to the server in that order?

You definitely have a BES account, if you have those filters.
I am 90% certain that is all backed up to the BES and I have no idea what order they would be restored in... however, luckily, I have friends who are much BES-smarter than I,
and will ask one of them to review this thread and comment.

The Filters are backed up to the BES and should be restored as such after a device wipe - AS LONG AS your account is not removed and re-added to the BES (then the automatic backup is lost).
