Email not working

Is anyone else experiencing problems sending/receiving emails from their blackberry? I use AT&T and my email stopped working around midnight last night.

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.

 

With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

 

Let us know.

 

No data outage has been reported, yours could a local issue, or an issue of communicating with the network, which the reboot will fix.

Yea I've done that already. Apparently I can still send emails (I just don't get a sent receipt) but I still can't receive anything.

1. From the device go to Options

2. Select Advanced Options

3. Select Host Routing Table

4. Select menu, then 'Register Now'

5. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Hi there, my email on my blackberry curve just stopped coming in, I've made no changes to any settings. Tried the standard turning off and on, and removing battery stuff.  Sprint says it's a Gmail problem.

Does anyone out there know how to fix it?

if you can send but not receive on all accounts, including PIN(most important) then you need to contact your carrier and ask them to remove provisioning and readd it

 

this only works if you are able to send successfully but not receive

Thank you, but I unfortunately, can't send OR receive.


I re-validated my email address w/my carrier, and then got an automated email on the crackberry that said that I needed to turn on IMAP in Gmail. I already have IMAP turned on in Gmail, and still can't receive or send. Any other ideas?

log into your BIS and delete the gmail integration, then readd it

 

oh wait just thought of something, click on this link and disable catcha for google

Hey -- I think I just fixed it!

The catcha thing didn't do it. And I don't know what a BIS is.

 

I just ended up getting on the Crackberry, and deleted and re-added my password, and I think it's fixed. Cannot believe that tech support didn't tell me to do that. It's strange b/c it never said that my password was wrong, and I didn't change my password on gmail at all, but that's just how technology works in my universe. Thanks so much for your help troubleshooting this!

on second thought...I didn't fix it. I'm now able to send from the crackberry, but can't receive. So I guess it's halfway fixed. I'm still getting the same strange email from blackberry, that tells me that I am not etting messages delivered and that I need to turn on my IMAP in Gmail, and that is turned on. UGGGhhhh!!!
