Hello

I would like to remove a gmail email account from my blackberry. I've removed the account from my service books (deleted them) but I still receive emails from this account. 

I also am getting emails twice from my hotmail account (my main account which I'd like to keep). I also only don't get the delete from handset- mailbox option, only delete or cancel.

Please try this FIRST, using your BlackBerry browser...
• Go to mobile.blackberry.com OR to www.blackberry.com/integrate
• Scroll down to Communication and then to Email.
• Choose the appropriate email set up options.

If that works and completes your email setup/editing, good.

Hi- I tried to do as above but didn't get very far. The page kept saying that my blackberry wasn't registered. I've followed the registration instructions twice now (advanced options- host routing etc etc) and received emails saying my reigstration was complete, and taken the battery out to re-start my phone. Still the website says that my phone isn't registered. I'm getting emails fine + able to send without problems. Just want to be delete my gmail account off this phone and somehow can't.

What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?

Thanks- have done that + edited options for the hotmail account. The gmail email address wasn't showing though. I'm still receiving emails sent to that account on my bb. Is there somewhere else on my phone that I need to edit-remove that email address?

No, if removed from the BIS account, and the TWO service books in the Options > Advanced > Service Books have both been deleted, then reboot the BlackBerry and no more email from that account should be pushed to the device.

by doing factory reset ,you can remove ur signed gmail account .

but before doing take the backup ,its recommended.

Ok thanks for your help anyway. I've done all the above- and rebooted but bizarrely still receiving emails sent to and from that account. Oh well, I guess I'll have to put up with it.
