Re: Email

Hello everyone, first time on the forum.

I have been using a BB for some time without any issues so far. Everything worked just fine. Recently I changed job and they gave me a BB 8310 and now I am having problem with the company email. We use BIS. I have 2 problems:

1: emails sent from within the company are not directed to the BB. I only receive emails from the outside world. They have setup a separate address to direct my emails but I don't like this solution as I now lose the synchronisation benefit.

2. email I receive on BB are deleted after a few hours. I only keep the emails I sent.

Funny thing is that my home email account is working just fine on the same BB. It is only the company email account that is playing games.

Any solution please.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Email

your company email : do you consult them with something other than your BlackBerry ? is it POP3 ? Did you check on that application "leave messages on server" ?

Re: Email

it's a known issue for devices that are linked to a corporate server. But for personal devices, I don't know.

Re: Email

Hi,

I am using BlackBerry Curve 8830 with Sprint. I have configured my hotmail & Gmail accounts into BB, and emails are coming thru fine. When I read/delete emails in my BlackBerry I can see those changes reflected in my mailbox (either browser or outlook), but when I read/delete messages in my mailbox (either browser or outlook) I don't see those changes reflected in my BlackBerry. And message count for unread messages in BB goes up & up. I use my computer during work hours to check emails, and then BB in evenings. But because of this issue, I have to open each & every message on BB to make them read, or delete them manually over there, which is very tidius process. Any suggestions to resolve this?

Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Email

Greetings  -

This is my first posting on this board, hello to all.  So, I have the 8330 and recently Sprint had to do a 'hard reset' as it was mis-behaving (zooming with the camera stopped functioning, alerts while in holster were not being played at all).  The hard reset corrected the problems I was having and Sprint was good in maintaining my contacts, etc., etc...

Now - I am still receiving my home email (ameritech.net acct) but I cannot send any messages from my home email acct. Error message states "No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft"

So, I goto the Email settings and (since I already have an account, i am receiving email) I login with my email address and pwd. I then get an error that the login and/or password is incorrect.

?? I am leery of 'creating a new account' as I sense that if I do this I will receive double messages from my Ameritech account... It's almost as if it's partially setup, I can receive but not send.

Any advice on how to correct this?

thanks in advance...

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

It sounds like your Service Books have gotten corrupted. Try these two things:

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > BBKey (it does not matter which line you are on) > Register Now

Then, try following these procedures for resending your Service Books:

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB02830&slic...

If you cannot log into your BIS account, you'll need to contact your carrier to reset the password for you...they control that system.

Good luck!
