Re: Email

DISREGARD MY PREVIOUS MESSAGE!

:mansurprised:

I fixed it myself by realizing I was not being smarter than a box of hair.  Embarrassingly enough, my first issue was due to the fact that I was using an incorrect Login ID (oops).

Once logged in I discovered that I needed to 'send service book' in order to reactivate my email services.

Within seconds my happy 8330 vibrated, I suddenly had new icon appear (my internet email acct icon), and now I can send email once again.

So, please ignore my previous post...it would figure my first post would be one I respond to myself...ooof...

adios....

Re: Email

You can add at least ten other address's that will be routed and fetched by Google. It gets better! You can set it up so that when John emails you at your office account, you can reply, through Gmail, with your business address!

Hi Bifocals,

I am new to the BB.  How does one do what you said up above?

Thanks,

Re: Email

Hi, I am new!

I have a Blackberry curve 8330 with updated software.  I have Desktop Manager on my PC.

Up until a month ago I had blackberry email and sms with telus.blackberry.com

I wasn't using the internet so I called and had that option removed.

I have been texting alright but now I want to use my email,  with a group.

my phone will not send or receive emails.   It does sms.

I called my provider and she tried to start it up for me and added to my plan.   We could not send email.

she said where I am located I do not have 1XEVdo anymore only 1X signal.

BUT I HAD IT BEFORE!!!!!!   She said to wait until the signal was better during the day and that it will come.

My signal has been on full bar,   but it did not come.

Pulled the battery ,  put it back

Securities ok.

sent to register host routing table ,    it said it could not,  I don't know what to do.  Call and cancel my new plan I suppose.

HOW DO I GET MY 1XEV  BACK!!!!???   i will call telus again in the morning.  But ..........

DON'T THINK!!!! LOOK!

Welc:smileyhappy:me Jane

I believe that You will need to BlackBerry Data plan to send/receive emails. You will have to call Telus again.

Re: Email

I have an 8330. I have both my work email and my yahoo accounts set up to work. However, is there a way to set it up so it doesn't automatically download from both emails whenever I am connected to data services, which I need to do to get on the net with my phone. Is there a way to have to hit send/receive or something like that to get email to download?

Re: Email

Hello! I am new to the Blackberry world. I am trying to set up my husbands work e-mail on his phone. I went to my providers blackberry website and tryed it from there but it says 'check the email url'. I am assuming that it's the actual web address for his Outlook Web account. I have tried 2 possible addresses and still can't get it. I have also went through all the help tutorials provided and I still get that error message. Do I need to contact is email provider through his work. Please help! Thanks!

Hi there!

OWA configuration is tricky...I was never able to get it to work via the device interface to BIS. I suggest using the carrier BIS website from a PC:

And then carefully following these instructions:

  • KB03133 How to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account

This will work in most all cases -- but, if his OWA includes ISA, then it will not work...See this KB:

  • KB04804 Error message received when attempting to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 5.5 or 2007 account

Good luck and let us know!
