I had the same problem for the pass few months and decided to resolve this with Vodacom.
They suggested I do the following:
Step 1. Go to Options
Step 2. Go to Advance Options
Step 3. Go to " Host Routing table"
Make sure you register both the Wi-Fi Connection " Click on Blackeberry icom and " Register Now"
Do the same with your GPRS setting ( GPRS ZA ( 655)
Step 4. Go Back to Advance Options
Step 5. Go to TCP/IP
Activate APN Settings Enabled ( block should be ticked)
Step 6. Deselect APN Authentication Enabled ( block should not be ticked)
Step 7. Go Back and save information
This procedure worked on my BB Curve 8520, hope it helps you.

I Found a solution!
I went on our home wifi for another reason and just went in the app world to see if the ID will download jsut for interest sake.. And it did.. It started downloading and now it works again!

I had the same problem. I upgraded to OS 1067, after that, each time I try to install the App ID, it tells me failed. So I checked on here and saw a thread that said to connect using wi-fi. That's exactly what I did and I was able to install the the App world ID. and its working just fine now!..
Just be sure that the wi-fi is internet enabled, check your wi-fi settings to make sure its connected to the internet and working. (I actually turned off my network connection and used the wi-fi broadband connection)Then try the app world again.
I hope this helps.
