Three times, now, the Facebook icon has been installed on my Blackberry.  Verizon is my service provider.

I don't use Facebook.  I don't want to use Facebook.  I don't want the Facebook icon on my Blackberry. 

I figured out how to remove it, but how do I prevent it being "pushed" to me?

You can't. It will only be pushed back.

What you are seeing is only an install shortcut... nothing there to worry about and it takes up very little space. Scroll to it (don't click on it) and press Menu > Hide.

I guess I'll take this up with Verizon.

I think what he is saying that there is nothing Verizon will do.  It's a corporate thing.  If you hide the icon, it will acomplish what you want.  You will never see it again and it will not be installed.

Hello. I don't have an answer but I deleted facebook in my applications now how do I delete the icon? Did you ever figure out how to block it ffom being sent to your phone again?
