GPS problems on 8530

I have copied this from the manual. The GPS options that appear on your device might differ slightly from the options that appear in this task. Before you begin: Depending on your BlackBerry® device model and wireless network, this feature might not be supported. 1.On the Home screen, click the Options icon. 2.Click Advanced Options. 3.Click GPS. 4.Change the GPS Services field to Location On. 5.Press the Menu key. 6.Click Save. My problem - I can't change the setting in item 4 and GPS Data source reads "None" and I can't change that either. Help Please, is there another setting I need to change first?

What exact model number do you have, the 8520 or 8530?

You've stated both here, 8520 in your profile, and 8530 in the thread title.

 

The 8520 does not have GPS.

The 8530 does have GPS.

Sorry, my mistake. I have an 8520. Does that explain why I can't change it?
I can't use the "Check In" function on facebook.

Yes it does explain it, the 8520 model doesn't have GPS.
