Re: General Failure on 9360

I deleted the email account and restarted the phone. I then setup the email account and I got the notification email saying that it was successfully setup. I actually keep getting that same notification everytime I setup that account but it never seems to work. Let me see if it works this time around.

Re: General Failure on 9360

Never had the same problem before and I've been switching Blackberry phones in the last 3 years. Let me look for a resolution for it.

Here are a couple of OWA email related Knowledge Base articles you might review...

The first one here might hold a solution.

  • Article ID: KB02858 Unable to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
  • Article ID: KB03133 Integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
  • Article ID: KB10870 Unable to receive email messages from an associated Microsoft Outlook Web Access account
  • Article ID: KB04804 Error message appears when attempting to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2010 account

I checked those out but none of them fit the bill. Thank you for the help, though. Cheers!

Re: General Failure on 9360

The next thing I'd try is to perform a security wipe on the device, and THEN, before you do any BES activation, setup your personal email first.

Then, perform the BES activation.

Re: General Failure on 9360

That's my last resort, actually. It kinda seems like I will have to do that since there are no other options. Thank you for the inputs.

Re: General Failure on 9360

You other option is to call Globe, and ask them to ESCALATE this issue to RIM level tier two tech support.

Globe can and should have done this already for any issue they can't resolve... but I know from other BES users in the past, I've been told they often need to provision their personal BIS email before activating the BES mail.
