Ah! That is indeed a thing, because I intentionally did not set my gmail account as the email for the phone; I don't want the phone to check the gmail account via IMAP or POP3, since I am very successfully using the Gmail Mail app. Good point though. Thanks.
could add your gmail to BIS, get your service books, then go ack into filters and setup for nothing to get sent to device, then hide your gmail BIS icon.
Wow. That gets into some stuff I'm just not so sure of how to do. Through all this, I have multiple calendars now with duplicate information and still none of them - not even the "Facebook" one now - properly sync to the Google Calendar. I've learned a lot, so that's good, and I hope I don't lose my patience with it.
+1 These instructions were right on for me! If you install other apps that also integrate with BB Calendar (e.g. FACEBOOK), make sure that your Google Calendar is set to primary to continue to push updates to Google (without having to think about the "Send Using" as you add appts).
