Green Light Flashing on my phone

Hello, I have just sent in a question but thought maybe I should have included more information. I have a Blackberry Curve 9300 phone. I've only had it for about one month so I'm new at this.

I have a green flashing light on the phone that won't go away. The phone is fully charged so I don't think it's that. I've removed and put back the battery and still have the flashing green light. As far as telling me how to fix it, I'd appreciate simple language as I'm not very tech savvy.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Green Light Flashing on my phone

It could many different things.  Have you installed any apps that have to do with messaging (i.e. SMS, email, some type of chat, etc.)?  It could be an indicator that you've received some type of message.

We'll start with that.  Please post back with this information.  :smileyhappy:

Re: Green Light Flashing on my phone

The green flashing LED is routinely the network connected notification LED... meaning, your device IS connected to the mobile network.

You can turn that off at Options > Screen/Keyboard and turn OFF the network notification LED.

How to disable the flashing green network notification LED on the BlackBerry smartphone

Re: Green Light Flashing on my phone

Have you tried an OS update?

This results in a reboot (actually - do that anyway)

Both suggestions are safe and secure

Yes - I do have other ways to fix it - but not safe ones

Re: Green Light Flashing on my phone

....or it could be the network connectivity light as stated by JSanders (and what was to be my next reply). :smileywink:

Cheers.  :smileyhappy:

It's the network notification LED... an OS update to simply turn off the notification LED would be a bit of overkill.
