Hello.
I was using my mac to backup my Blackberry, and thought i would update the software too.
It froze up, and when i force quit after a half hour or so, i got 'Reload Software: 507'
I have tried:
I also tried - via my PC:
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_to_do_
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displ
None of these things have made any difference. It still says
Reload Software: 507
What should i do? Help please!
Thank you!

If you go to: Start - Run, type: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe
This will launch the Application loader, before you plug your BlackBerry in remove the battery. Then go through the application load process and when the application load process is showing the waiting for device initialization, put the battery back in.
Allow the process to complete, then test to see if the 507 error is gone.
Hope this helps.

Hello! ![]()
Thanks for replying and for the suggestion.
I did already try that about 20 times as per instructions on one of the links above, and no luck.
So alas i have sent my Blackberry in for repairs. I don't think there is a solution i can do from home.
BEWARE MAC USERS!! Don't force quit your Blackberry whilst updating!! Or 507 will ruin your day! hehe

Sorry to hear that you had to use your last resort there, but let us know if you have any other issues when you get your device back.
Cheers,
