Hey I've just bought my first ever Blackberry (curve 9320) and I've got the application Yahoo messegner on it. Butwhen I write my name and password, it just can't connect. It is written unable to connect on this phone yet my phone is connected to the wi-fi ! I am a customer from France.
Can you help me ? I am really dissapointed that it does not work !
Did you subscribe for BlackBerry data plan? You must subscribe to this plan to be able to use device applications and features. Or else you have to connected to Wi-Fi to use Yahoo Messenger.

I don't think so How can I suscribe to BB data plan ? My phone is connected to the wi-fi. Don't hesitate to ask me more questions in order to find the solution. I am really frustrated, I bought a BB in order to use such devices
In order to use various Application of BlackBerry like BBM,Facebook for BlackBerry ,Twitter ,Email services ETC you need to have BlackBerry Data Plan also known as BIS , this BlackBerry data plan can be added to your account by your Carrier or wireless service provider.
As you had listed SFR as your Carrier so call them and activate BIS on your account to enjoy all those BlackBerry Services.
Unfortunately I still can't connect to yahoo messenger ! I have suscribed to the BB data plan yet it still does not work Could you help me ? I will contact SFR on monday but I am very frustrated that it does not work !
Are your able to use other Services of BlackBerry like BBM, FaceBook for BlackBerry ? .On your Home Screen Go to Manage Connection > Service Status > BlackBerry Internet Service = ? what is the status.
The status is 'Wi-Fi'. I can use facebook, BlackBerry app world and some other applications I download on BB app world... But not yahoo messenger. The fact is the application I want to use most is yahoo messenger
From where are you able to access the FaceBook ? From your BlackBerry browser or from Facebook for BlackBerry . As you are not connected to BIS or BlackBerry Internet services you must call your Carrier SFR and please re confirm with them to make sure that BIS is properly configured on your account.
And please remember you need a BlackBerry Data Plan and a normal data plan will not serve your need
