Help on Bluetooth

OK i have the new 8350i from Nextel and while the bluetooth is on the phone will not ring, I just get the bell sound in my ear. I had the 7100i before and when an incomming call was received the phone would ring and also the bell would go off in the bluetooth. I have done alot of research on this and see that people claim it is supposed to ring, some people say theres rings, others have seen it in the store where it rings and then there are others who say theres does not ring at all either.  I have read that it will vibrate while in the holster, mine does not do this either. Nextel told me Rim has the phone set up this way to protect law enforcement on a stakeout. Does anybody have the right answer here? Should the phone ring while the bluetooth is on? If not why the hell do I care about law enforcement, this should be some sort of option in the menu where you can select if you want the ring or not. All help and thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Help on Bluetooth

I am not asking if your bluetooth rings, I am asking if your 8350i still rings while the bluetooth is turned on.  My phone rings fine until I turn on the bluetooth then only the bluetooth rings in my ear and the phone does nothing as if the ringer was turned off.

Re: Help on Bluetooth

I don't know. I don't use a Bluetooth headset.

But I shall share a bit of experience of mine on help forums : please be courteous to people who try and help you.

This is not a hotline website.
This is not customer service.

This is a community forum.

We are consumers just like you, who are willing to take part of their leisure time to help other people. Your attitude will certainly not make people want to really help you, which is, if I'm not too stupid, the only reason why you asked a question here.

Re: Help on Bluetooth

^^ Agreed.

Yes, it should ring on the device. Nextel is silly.

Re: Help on Bluetooth

Hey Xandrex, First let me apology if you feel I have offended you in any way. In no way did I mean to come off nasty or mean in my post. I re-read my first post and I felt a little confused my self as to what exactly I was asking. My second post was just that. I was just trying to be as specific to the problem I am having as possible. I know people spend free time here trying to help so I figured I should be as descriptive as possible and to the point and not to waste anyone's time. I did not mean in anyway to seem like an a**hole. Which after reading it I can see where you get that from. I truly apprecaite all responses and I do know that is why I asked the question on a help forum. I have posted in other areas and I have not been rude or nasty with anyone, it is not my nature. Again please accept my apology but know I did not mean any harm.
