Having the exact same problem here! Any recent advice other than wiping the device and starting over?

A full wipe, seriously? I just spent two hours manually syncing everything because the auto-sync does not work right. Now you are telling me the only solution to this is to start all over again? I am really getting sick of Blackberry!!!

Wow I cant believe such a widespread flaw has no fix. RIM is ussually more responsive than this. In my experience this has happened to every 9300 I have provisioed when end user is moving from an older BB. Oh well Ill just make sure to start with a new BES profile every time I deploy one.
What a time consuming process.

Hi there!
I'm trying to compile a list of those with this problem (it started for me yesterday when I wiped, reloaded, and had my BB reactivated on our BES) to see if we can come up with a common cause/resolution. Your post hints that you may have found it. Can you confirm? What I interpret from your post is thus:
Is this accurate?
Thanks!

Options 1 and 2 are what I have experienced. Specificly when switching from an 8300 is when I have the issue. It doesnot seem to affect reactivating a 9300 when the user previously had a 9300 on the same profile. I need to double check but I remember needing to wipe the Blackberry and recreate the BES profile in order to fix it. In other words just wiping the BB or just recreating the BES Profile will not fix the issue on a BB that has the cannot hide sent items problem..

Thank you so much, that is very helpful.
FYI...I am building a thread here:
On this topic...your information will be very useful to the information gathering.
Thanks!

I just had a user switch from a 8520 to a 9300 and the sent items problem happened. So my theory of older 8300 only being affected is wrong. Im going to see if just recreating the BES profile fixes the issue. Stay tuned.
The problem has oocured from switching from the following BlackBerrys:
1. 8300, 8310
2. 8520

Just recreating the BES profile definitely does NOT fix the issue. I just verified. So far it looks like the 9300 is conflicting with a setting within a BES profile that was also previously used with an older model Blackberry. We still stand that the official fix is still to do a wipe and also recreate the BES profile then reactivate.
This is frustrating. At my company I have deployed over a 130 devices this month and almost all of them have had this issue that were 9300's. To say the least this is costing me days of unnessasary headache. Not to mention how long it took to actually find that is wasnt the endusers fault. lol.
Please let me know if anyone experiences anything that contradicts my findings.

Thank you again for all of your helpful information. Note, however, that it may or may not be BB model specific. In my circumstance (on a 9550), I was simply doing an OS reload on my BB to clear up other issues. I used BBSAK and did a device WIPE and then reload, followed by restoring my backup file and then reactivating on BES. The result was this problem. So, the only step I skipped was having the BES admins re-create my BES profile before reactivating.
When I get time, I will try this again, adding in the re-creation of my BES profile -- I have to be more careful about it as I am not the BES admin...and, while they like and appreciate me and all of the testing I provide to them, it would try their patience if I ask for too much too soon.
Thanks again!

I just had a user bring me a 9300 that would not save calander views. I verrified that trying to change the default calander view was acting in the same way as the "hide sent items" problem. So I am waiting to see if doing a wipe and BES profile recreation also fixes it.
This person was also recently switched from a 8310.
