Hotmail delayed on new Curve 8310 (w/ AT&T)

Just got a new Curve 8310 and AT&T is my provider. Hotmail is finally working somewhat, but messages are being received in batches every few hours and are very delayed. Sending seems to work fine in real time. Any way to fix this (besides setting up a gmail or other account to forward messages to)?

you should contact the Hotmail support team, there may be some problems on their side.

It definitely has to do with Hotmail. I have Verizon and at first it didnt even work now I randomly get batches of emails.
