How can I manage adress book etc - help.

How can I manage adress book, tasks, calendar etc, on my computer.

I load BB desc top manager but there is nothing that let me do such a thing.

I'm not talking about e-mail.

I know I can do everything I want with my media- pictures, music. But that is it.

Can anybody help?

Thank you.

Hi,

In the desktop Software click on synchronization.

In the upper left hand corner there is a synchronization configuration option click on that

then to the right click on grey box synchronization.

This wizard will take you through the sync options for calendar address books tasks memos.

When this is complete, you can sync your two devices.

Please let me know if you need further assistance

Thank you for your help Bifocals.

I did what you said but I still have a problem. I don't want to use outlook or other system to manage the phone.

Is it possible to do it without any of listed in the desktop manager:

BB wireless Sync

Microsoft Outlook

ASCII Importer/Exporter

Yahoo!

I just want to be able to add, change, edit, all my imputs without going trough all those systems.

Kind of same way as I do with media.

If you're running outlook all you need to choose is outlook. It will synchronize your calendar, contacts, memos, and tasks.

Are  you using outlook for a calendar/addressbook?

Hello,

The Desktop Manager is mainly a tool for backup and configuration. Most people who use a Blackberry buy it to complement tools they use daily, such as an address book, a mail software, a calendar system. That's why most people will rely on desktop solutions like Outlook, Lotus, webmails (GMail, Hotmail) or webcalendars (Google Calendar).

You are asking for something like that, but from Blackberry. There is not. Or there is. You can grab for a 99$ tool that allows you to use your Blackberry on your PC :

But that will not really be what you need. The Blackberr y is all about synchronization between a desktop solution and your handheld device.

I am not talking about the Desktop Manager, I'm talking about buying a mobile phone by RIM from the Blackberry series. It's not free at all ! :smileyhappy:
