I have manually selected my photos to be stored on the media card but for some reason it keeps reverting back to the device.  I dont find this out until I go to take a photo and I get an error message stating that the photo cannot be stored because there is no more memory.  At that point, I have to go back into the options menu and select the "media card" option AGAIN.  Any thoughts?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

First make sure the following options are set:

Media Card window ON 

 Encryption NONE 

  Mass storage support ON

Auto enable when connected  YES 

On your media card do you have these folders?

Blackberry

Pictures

Music

Ringtones

Videos

Voicenotes
this is the folder structure that the Blackberry needs to allocate the media to.

You can then use the Drag and drop through Windows. Very quick and efficient, without overhead from the Media Manager.

One not. Some iTunes are DRM protected, and will not play on the BB.

I set the options as you suggested....the last option was set to "prompt" instead of "on."  However, I do not know what you are referring to when you say "media card folders."  I do not have a media card folder that I can find under the camera  application or the "settings" application.  Maybe this is the problem.  When I purchased the phone I was given a free media card with the phone so I just inserted it as intructed but did nothing further.  Are there more steps to "setting" the media card to function properly?

Format the card in the BB use :

OPTIONS -MEDIA CARD - menu key - FORMAT.

This will give you the correct folders on your media card.

Hello,

I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.

Soft reboot :
1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
- Alt
- Left Shift
- Delete
2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.


Hard reboot :
1) your Blackberrry device is on
2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
3) Put the battery back
4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.


Then go in the camera options, and select again to store on media card. Please tell us if it works for you.
