How do you open Word Files on the 8330??

I can see the files on the card and open the music from the card, but it won't let me open the word files. Help!

"unable to view" is the error message I get

Hi and Welcome to the forums!

You can open (but not edit) an .doc file as an attachment in email. You can't open a .doc file off the media card.

Use the search box on the upperleft hand side of the screen for Docs to Go. That will be included in OS 4.5,

and will tell you what the capabilities are.

Let me know if this helps!

If this answers your question please resolve this thread by using the options over the yellow Kudo's box.

Thank you.

is documents to go included with the desktop manager software?

Also, can I move the file directly onto the bb's memory instead of using the card?

Docs to go will be in the Opearting System of the BB device, not on the Desktop software.

Unless you have OS 4.5 you cannot read the doc from either the media card or the device memory

if you don't have DocsToGo yet, you can email yourself the .doc file. From your Messages application, when you open the email, you can view the attachment.
