I have a BB9300 curve and I can’t change my contact sync either.
The email contact is an older one and I have deleted the account from by BB, but to no avail. I can’t change default email to sync contact in my bb torch no matter what I tried. Your tips also didn’t work. Please help.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
First update your service book as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830 . Then go into Options, Device, Advanced System System Settings, Default services and try changing your default Contact list.

Same problem on my Bold 9900. Tried to resend Service Book, no go. Edited each of the email accounts to make sure none of them had contacts checked under sync. The account that i want to sync with only has `Deleted`items showing. So I am stuck ! the email account in the pull down menu for Contacts List (SYNC) cannot be changed, in fact it is an account that i no longer have (I deleted it!) .. any help is appreciated

First of all; wow.. It's been a year since this last post, and still there's no answer from anyone.
I have Bold 9900 too, and had exactly the same kind of problem: my Contacts book had only one Contacts List (SYNC) on one email. Couldn't change it at first try, but I figured it out by using simple steps:
I'm still testing the result, so far I haven't receive my Contacts at the email I want it to be synced with, but at least those Contacts is no longer synced with the previous email I don't want.
Let me know if you're having more success than I do.
