Hello,
Do you mean you would like to disable the data connection?

Hi,
yes, i would like to disable the data connection(gprs).
I don't need it at the moment, so don't want to get connected to gprs w/o knowing/accidentally and end up paying high mobile bills.
Can you advice how to disable gprs?
Thanks in advance!

Sure I can! Please follow the steps below:
From the home screen on the BlackBerry click Options > Mobile Network and then change Data Services to Off.

Hi,
Thanks for your quick and effective reply.
I have off the "data services".
By offing the "data services", does that means the wifi option is also disabled?

It SHOULD be functioning.
But the FACT is, it is NOT functioning the moment you turn the Data Services: OFF.
HTH.

Go into settings, mobile network, and select data services "Off When Roaming"
This will allow data services to still work when connected to a wi fi but automatically disables it when on a roaming network.
You can leave this setting like this all the time if you want.

With data services turned off you can still use Wi-Fi to browse the internet. You will not be able to access services such as email or BlackBerry Messenger and other application. Certain 3rd applications may allow the use of Wi-Fi only without data services.

Dear Blackberry Technical Advisor,
If Data Services turned off, you CAN NOT use the wifi to browse the internet.
This is confirm on my device. I tried many times.
Is there any difference with the setting on different country?
Thanks.
