I have just purchased a Blackberry Curve 9320, and all the documentation states that M4A (Apple Lossless) is fully supported.
I have synced my Curve with iTunes via the Blackberry synchronisation software and successfully added my iTunes playllist to my Blackberry, but when I try to play a tune I get the following error message
The media "Song name" being played is of an unsupported format
How do I play my songs on this device?
Do I need a codec or a different media player or is the documentation wrong?

I believe you will need to remove the DRM from the iTunes purchased media.

Thanks for the prompt reply,
All the tunes I am trying to play that have been ripped from CD's, that I own, so do not have DRM and do not play, all the songs that I have purchased from within iTunes play perfectly
I would like to be able to play all my music.

Doing some analysis on the song that plays versus the one that doesn't.
From the iTunes store
Ripped from a CD
I can see 2 notable differences
1) The ripped song has an Apple Lossless Codec and the downloaded song doesn't
2) The ripped song is 25MB and the downloaded song is 6MB; is size an issue?

Ok. I could be wrong. In the UK DRM is supported.

I think I have gotten to the bottom of the problem.
The downloaded music has a bit rate of 256kbps whereas the ripped music has anything upto 1050kpbs.
When I sync my iPod with iTunes I ccan select that music is sync'd at a max rate of 256kbps.
Is there any way to do this with the Blackberry sync? and is this the likely issue?
