How to type Spanish letters

I have the Blackberry Curve 8320. I downloaded all the language options for Spanish and installed them on my device. I am looking for a way to type letters with accent marks (i.e. á, ñ, é, etc.). I can't figure out how to do so, though. I have tried the following things-

  • Going into Symbols and looking for them.
  • Holding down letters to see if they would change to the new letters (this worked on my old phone, however, it was Pantech, not Blackberry).
  • Pressing the letters repeatedly.

Also, before anyone asks, I am sure that the input language was turned to Spanish. Please help!!!

Hold down the letter (say an 'a') and scroll the trackball to select the alternate character.
