Hi Sanyashahid,

Welcome to the support community!

The .rem file extension you are seeing on your media files indicates that they were encrypted. Having media card encryption enabled causes this in order to secure your media files.

Do you mean that you can't see any of your media files on your BlackBerry Curve 9300 smartphone when it is disconnected from the computer? Are you able to browse to them using the Explore function shown in this KB article? http://blackberry.com/btsc/KB05475 Were any changes recently made to the BlackBerry smartphone such as a security wipe or a software upgrade?

Since you are able to access them from the computer, I recommend trying to transfer these files to your computer using the latest version of the BlackBerry Desktop Software to remove the encryption from them and then formatting your media card before transferring the files back to it. These KB articles have the steps to follow.

Make sure to leave media card encryption enabled until after transferring the files to your computer.

I look forward to your response.
