Impossible to see/change my e-mail account with Curve 9300

Since a recent provider problem (Telekom Germany), I have been unable to download programmes or receive e-mails via this account. However, all attempts to verify and adjust my e-mail settings via the Curve 9300 have failed. Problem: Whenever is go to Einrichten (install)/E Mail settings and type in my user name (=e-mail address), the phone says: "User name void. Please enter a valid user name". Now I know that the user name is correct since it is entered like this in the Blackberry ID application. I am at my wit's end. Where is my mistake? Thank you.

Are you receiving this error both in BlackBerry App World and in Email Setup? What version of BlackBerry Device Software do you have installed? This article should help you check. Hi Frankie,

 

Thanks for your reply. Well, my software version seems to be 5.0.0.794. Apparently, the problem now only occurs in Email Setup whereas it has disappeared (luckily!) in AppWorld (I recently had problems there as well).

 

As regards the second link, yes, I can sign into the BlackBerry ID page without a problem, only I am surprised I cannot do anything there except change my name (I thought this was the place to adjust my email account settings on the PC).

 

I would be really glad if you could help me further with this!

Sorry, this doesn't help at all. I know how to establish an email account via the mobile. Only trouble is: It doesn't work. My user name is not recognized (as I already mentioned).What can be the reason and what can I do?

Hey ArminFiebig,

 

In that case, I would suggest contacting your wireless service provider for assistance accessing your BlackBerry Internet Service account. This KB article should provide some possible reasons why you are not able to access the account. "Unable to log in to a BlackBerry Internet Service account" http://bbry.lv/MXxTMU
