Based on my point of view for  Blackberry Curve 8520 i have some idea about  that ,to setup email you will need the following information user name, email address, and password.  You will also have to create a Blackberry account. This is done simply from the phone, and you will receive an email to acknowledge. Once this is complete, you can then begin to setup email on your phone.

When you first switch on your Blackberry Curve 8520, it will run into a setup wizard, you can either follow this path, or alternatively, access it via the Setup button as shown.

Essentially, the wizard and the Setup button will take you down the same path.  I found it easier to revisit via the setup option, after I became more familiar with the phone. you can view window click set up and click email setting you can get the set up wizard.

Re: Introducing the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 Smartphone

(This phone doesn't have a flash)

OK... I have the 8520, and I took some pretty important (to me) pictures and videos.

I do daily back ups and I also synchronize daily, but I didn't have a chance to move them.

But now, I have the error message: Reload Software 552.

Is there any possible way to pull the images, video and sound files from the phone? Is there a way to Reload the Software?  I tried using the Application Loader, even with the help of Tech Support. It starts, but it never is able to initialize the phone.

TIA

Re: Introducing the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 Smartphone

Hello.  I've searched all over the forums for an answer to my question, but have been unsuccessful.  Can anyone help me please?!

Every now and then one of my notification icons (on the banner) will not disappear, even though I have read all possible messages, whether it be Facebook or Email.  This happened a while ago and I had found some instructions on the forums to register my Service Books.  This had fixed the problem, but now I'm having the problem again and am unable to send my Service Books.  I've tried a hard boot of the device (unsuccessful) and looked for wireless software updates (none found at this time).

When I get a new notification, it increases the number next to the icon.  When I read the new one, it decreases it back to the original number.  For example, it's currently showing that I have 3 Facebook notifications, but I don't.  If I get a new notification, in increments to 4.  When I read the new message, the number goes back down to 3.

How do I get rid of these "ghost" notifications/icons?

Thanks.
