Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

Thank you for this!  But one thing - after i completed it and rebooted, my BBM icon has disappeared and cannot be found.  It is in my application list, but whenever someone sends me a BBM, i get no notification and cannot find it anywhere.  I've checked "show all" and everything.  Please help.

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

msunwoo80,

It must be that the corrupted file had something to do with BBM. If you remember the name of the file you deleted, you can try using the instructions here to replace it. Otherwise, just back up all your data and do a complete wipe/reinstall.

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

Thank God for Google and these message boards.  I thought my life was over when I saw the jvm102 error.  Your directions were SPOT ON.  I deleted the erroring file (plus the app it was caused by) and voila - working BB.  I appreciate this extremely much.

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

I clinked on your posted link to download the JL Cmdr... When I open it, it opens with Text Edit and there is no option to choose "option 2"... Does it matter that I'm working on a Mac rather then a PC?

Sarie, yes you'll need to use a computer running Windows to use this fix.

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

Thanks for the info. Everything worked great. One thing to add that may save time, though. The corrupt file that I found was net_rim_bb_facebook_resource_large-2. Obviously it's a facebook file. If the corrupt file belongs to facebook, or any other application, you shouldn't need to reinstall EVERYTHING. All I did was reinstall my Facebook application, and it worked like a charm.

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

Hi all,

I have followed all the steps posted on here and many other forums for solving the JVM Error 102 however each time I run the JL_Cmder, nothing ever shows up in the eventlog.txt - it is empty/blank! Then I look back at the JL_Cmder and it displays the following -

"JAVALOADER" is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Command completed!

Clear the event file? (Y/N)

I have looked at other posts with similar problems, but their solutions did not solve my problem.. Any suggestions??

Thanks  :smileyhappy:
