Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

I could not find any .cod file in the notepad file that was generated as a report. JVM Error 102 was mentioned 4 times but the file name was missing. All that wasa mentioned after the colon where the filename was supposed to reflect was "+Bork". Kindly Advice.

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

I originally had the JVM Error 102 but was able to fix that with advice from this blog thread, so thank you for that.

After I completed the "javaloader.exe -u erase" command, I was able to get to a white screen that listed the applications on my blackberry 8310 curve.  Shortly after that, it crashed again giving me a "JVM Error 205".  I ended up deleting the "net_rim_bb_browser_lib.cod"  file and I'm assuming that the absence of that file is causing the "JVM Error 205".

I reloaded the blackberry 8310 device software on to my computer so I could reload the "net_rim_bb_browser_lib.cod" file onto my phone.  I used the following fuction to try to load the application back on to my phone (after identifying the correct identiy path):

Javaloader.exe -u load "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8310-v4.5.0.182_P2.7.0.106\Java\net_rim_bb_browser_lib.cod"

After hitting enter, I got a "Connecting to device...Error: Unable to Open Port" response.  Can anyone offer any advice on how I can get rid of this JVM Error 205 by reloading the deleted application on to my phone?

THANKS!

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

Hi Shmoo, I tried your solution, using BBSAK instead of JL_Cmder, because it did not work on Win 7 64bit.

anyway i read the log of my BB, but I have kind of 20 word pages of errors about different.cod files.

any suggestions? unfortunately i have no backup but i need to get all the contacts back.

for those having difficulty changing the directory in CMD

the provided command did not work for me. i found that the following 2 commands worked. the first (followed by the  enter key) then the next (followed by the enter key):

C:

cd Program Files\JL_Cmder

this was the only problem i had- was in changing the directory. the above worked. after that, it worked fine, the spanish cod which was corrupt was removed and my phone started back up just fine!

thank you so much for the post!

Re: JVM Error 102 -- BEFORE YOU WIPE YOUR SYSTEM --

ofcourse I've got the complicated problem....so here's the situation. When I go to the "log" this is what it says:

id:0x97C9F5F641D25E5F time: Tue Jul 12 16:57:55 2011  severity:0 type:2 app:smileyfrustrated:ystem data:VM:VCPEs=Class 'org.xml.sax.SAXException' not found.
guid:0x97C9F5F641D25E5F time: Tue Jul 12 16:57:55 2011  severity:0 type:2 app:smileyfrustrated:ystem data:VM:VCPKv=5
guid:0x97C9F5F641D25E5F time: Tue Jul 12 16:57:55 2011  severity:0 type:2 app:smileyfrustrated:ystem data:VM:VCPNs=net_rim_bluetooth
guid:0x97C9F5F641D25E5F time: Tue Jul 12 16:57:55 2011  severity:0 type:2 app:smileyfrustrated:ystem data:VM:+BORK
guid:0x97C9F5F641D25E5F time: Tue Jul 12 16:57:55 2011  severity:0 type:2 app:smileyfrustrated:ystem data:JVM Error 102
guid:0x97C9F5F641D25E5F time: Tue Jul 12 16:57:55 2011  severity:0 type:2 app:smileyfrustrated:ystem data:Invalid code in filesystem

So I found the JVM Error message and I'm assuming the file name is +BORK but when I type

javaloader.exe -u erase -f +BORK         OR       javaloader.exe -u erase -f BORK

MS DOS says:

Erasing: +BORK               Error: Invalid Handle

Can anyone help me pleeeeeze. I've just want to get my friend's wedding pictures off my phone :smileysad:
