You are probably going to have to work through a few things but lets start with the simple ones.
In Menu>Options>Language work down all the various choices making sure they are what you want and make sure predictive is turned off. Save the changes and do another battery pull.
Obtain a can of compressed air (preferred) or use a compressed airline such as found on a service station forcourt or ask nicely at a tyre fitting depot. Blast the keyboard from all angles.
If they don't overcome the problem, we will have to get more technical such as taking the device apart and wiping the contents and reinstalling the os.
Try the easy fixes 1st.
