Keyboard light problem

i have had my Blackberry 9320 for around six months, but now the light on my keyboard isn't switching on when I take the phone out of the case or when press any of the keys.  The phone hasn't been dropped otr gotten wet.  It sometimes comes on halfway through sending a text or when I'm using it for browsing.  Is this a fault my phone has developed or is it soemthing that I can reset?

I can manage with it like this , but it is a real problem if texting.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, I think the phone is great aside from this issue.

Please use plain text.

Re: Keyboard light problem

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.

See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Good luck!
