Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure.

I left my phone unattended then noticed that there were 6/10 password attempts and when I went to unlock it I got letter characters instead of the **** that usually appear when entering password. SO I entered the correct password to no avail. Tmobile's tech support said once that happens it typically means that I will lose all of my info; so Im currently at this message: Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure. what do I do?

Re: Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure.

Often users who have multiple numerals in their password will only press the ALT key for the first numeral and not those following, so for instance, if your password were "1234", you might have been pressing "Alt 1234" on the device, which makes the actual password to be "1ers".

Does that make sense? Does it sound familar to your usage?

So check the way you enter your password on the device... do you think you are entering multiple numbers but actually are not?

Either way, with one more incorrect attempt, yes, you will lose all personal data, addresses, messages, calendar, etc., on the device.

Thanks Bro for your reply. I like your theory except I know I put in the correct password because it's actually showing me the characters versus the ***** that normally appear when entering a password.

Yep, and that is how it is with most users such as yourself who KNOW the their password... and actually don't.

Do you have numerals in your password?

Re: Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure.

Then I think my suggestion above just might apply... maybe not. but the known password isn't working, so --

I wouldn't be suggesting this UNLESS I had seen it literally dozens of times before.

Your mileage may vary. Good luck.

Re: Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure.

I thoroughly appreciate your will to help, and I dont mean to be difficult, but there is no way that I've been entering the wrong password if it's literally showing me every character that I enter. In any case I lost my info... selling my soul and going to try iphone or Android thanks anyway.

Re: Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure.

You're welcome. but, I think if you read my post above and followed the logic, you might know your password, exactly, but have entered it incorrectly all this time. That's the point.

You'll love the iPhone, very little security worth a poop there.

Re: Last Attempt! Information will be erased on failure.

Hey JSanders. READ HIS POSTS! He said he knew he had the correct password. The Blackberry does NOT hide your characters. If my password is PASSWORD123 and I type in PASSWORD123 and I can see that, I know my password was correct.

He said his password was NOT being hidden by the *****. Instead of *********** it showed PASSWORD123 or whatever he had. It's frustrating to have the problem. It's even more frustrating to have someone not even read and/or understand a post.
