Lock phone Blackberry curve 9300

Hi I have taken-on my daughters phone without a manual, and have purchased a blackberry case for it. The phone has been fine using the case until now when I lock the phone and put it into the case it un-locks itself and have noticed on the bar where your emails and texts come up on it has the letters H-T and I have no idea what it means or whether it has a connection to the lock.

Please use plain text.

Re: Lock phone Blackberry curve 9300

Hello fruity46,

Welcome to the Support Community!

The H-T notification you're seeing indicates that hearing aid mode is enabled. Since you don't have a copy of the manual yet, the following userguides should provide more information as well as the steps to disable/enable the setting.

If you are using BlackBerry Device Software 5.0, this userguide should help.

If you are using BlackBerry 6, please have a look at this userguide.

Are you locking the BlackBerry smartphone with a password lock or are you locking the keyboard? Do you have the same issue when not using the case?

I look forward to your response.

-FS

Re: Lock phone Blackberry curve 9300

Hi thanks for your reply the answer is no I don't have the same problem when not in a case and yes I have found out that I can lock it using a password, but this problem didn't happen to start with, when using the blackberry case so could it have something to do with holster??

Re: Lock phone Blackberry curve 9300

Hey fruity46,

Since the issue only happens when you are using the case, it sounds like it may be caused by the case itself.

Thanks,
