Media card (memory card) issue

My media card (memory card) said it needed to be repaired because there were errors so I selected 'repair errors' but it keeps saying 'repair failed'. How can I fix this?

Can you try those suggestion listed within this Knowledge Base Article :

 

 KB14745 : "Memory card contains error, please use disk checking utility on computer" appears on the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone.

I was not able to complete step 2 because I couldn't find the buttons it said I should press etc

Which buttons and where ?

 

Have you tried to format your Media Crad as a last option !

In this case, the KB article that you would need to follow under the BlackBerry Knowledge Base is:

“Built in media storage not accessible due to detected errors. Would you like to repair?" is displayed on the BlackBerry smartphone

I don't have any 'total memory' option and it just said it is for 9800's. I guess I'll go into the shop tomorrow

They use the same version of operating system. For most, this works. Have you tried using the memory card to another device?

I found the format button but I can't see the "total memory" selection. And yes, I have tried it in another device and it didn't work in the other phone either

Hi there,

 

Rather then formatting the device Built -in Memory you should format the media card ! Have you tried what I already advised ? 

 

If you're media card is not repairable then you have to format your media card . On your device Homescreen go to Options > Device > Storage > Highlight Total Space Under heading Media Card Storage > Press the Menu key ( BB key ) > select Format .

 

I hope you have a backup of your media card .
