Messages (Count)

Yesterday when I connected my phone to the desktop software it did a complete update of the phone software and after restarting since then on the home screen it says

"Messages (1 Unread) even though there are 0 messages in any of the folders. The only way I can stop this is in "Options" "Display Message Count" to None

Which is annoying to say the least, does anybody know how on earth I can reset the counter to 0 and start again...

Please use plain text.
