Mmeory does not work -- how to tel if memory or Curve?

I just bought and installed a 2GB SanDisk microSD in my 2 month old Curve 8310.

The 8310 does not recognize it as being readable or formatable.

How do I tell which is broken and if it is the new curve, where do I get it repaired?

Many thanks,

Have you??

  • Tried the memory card in another device, ie blackberry or camera?
  • Tried another memory card in this blackberry to see if it works?

Elimination by process. Be smart about it.

If you have done so alread, then disregard my next question. Have you formatted the card using the computer that you installed the BlackBerry desktop manager software on? I had to format mine first before it would work in my Curve. Also, dragging and dropping music and picture files from my computer to the card seemed much easier than linking the Curve (with sd card installed)to my computer.
