I have an 8900 that is experiencing the apparently common ridiculous issue of NOT being able to log-on to or stay connected to ANY wifi networks. Sometimes it will log-on, the wifi emblem will turn white, then I'll actually think i"m good to go. I'll open the browser, then 3 seconds later, "wifi" disappears from the top and I'm left on EDGE...10 to 12 minutes later I can see google.com on my phone.
That said, I clearly MUST leave BB as soon as my AT&T contract is up. Their products are inferior and not worth the headache of high expectations, such as, you know, FUNCTIONALITY! So, turning to those with similar equipment who may have experience with other phone makers; what maker should I switch to? Is iPhone as solid as they say? I hear those phones actually work, but I can't tell of that advice is believabe because people once also told me that Blackberrys work and that was clearly bogus advice. Am I better off going cheaper with Samsung? Why waste the money on an iPhone when I can get a BB? Why waste the money on BB when they don't work and I can get something cheaper? Do Samsungs work? Do HTCs work? I need web browsing and email abilities. I don;t use enterprise services or anything like that. Any advice out there about what maker makes phones that actually work?
