My Outlook will not sync with my BlackBerry 8330 Curve

I can't get my Outlook to sync with my BB. When I attempt to sync it through DM a synchronization box appears and it says it is in process. But, nothing happens. I don't get an error, it just doesn't sync. It was working fine just a couple of weeks ago and it just stopped working. Any ideas?

try uninstalling and reinstalling DM to see if that fixes it.  Or it might be a bad USB cable or port on the computer.

Re: My Outlook will not sync with my BlackBerry 8330 Curve

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Before reinstalling the DM try this USB troubleshooting procedure:

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB02640&sliceId=SAL_Pub...

In most cases like yours, the cable had either been moved or loosened in the USB slot.

I would also fist try a new cable before dismantling a previously successful installation.

If you have reinstalled, you would need to use this procedure, to ensure your registry and system files contain no traces of the previous install:

Re: My Outlook will not sync with my BlackBerry 8330 Curve

Hi, and welcome...

Also, just to clarify, when the sync window starts is there any progress at all?

Does it close the desktop manager when it attempts to sync or does the progress bar just stay?

Sometimes there can be an issue with your mail store or address book.

Thx....

H.

Re: My Outlook will not sync with my BlackBerry 8330 Curve

I don't think it is the USB cable or port because when I synced up my Outlook tasks to my BB it worked just fine. For some reason it just doesn't sync my calendar. I tried changing the configurations to a two way sync and then back to a one way, but not luck.

The sync window says it is in process and then it just disappears but it doesn't close the DM.

Re: My Outlook will not sync with my BlackBerry 8330 Curve

Hi,

Calendar entries with attachments can't sync. Change your view in calendar to only show entries with attachments and delete the attachment.

Open calendar in outlook - choose view, arrange by and current view then customize current view. Choose Filters, then the tab for more options and choose "only items with" and choose attachments

Do you have any attachments?

Thanks

Re: My Outlook will not sync with my BlackBerry 8330 Curve

Your device version can be found on the Blackberry

go to the options icon click select ABOUT version will

look like 4.x.x.xxx.

For your PC please go the settings, control panel, system and see what the operations system says.

Microsoft OS 2003 was a server OS.

Thanks
