Re: My apps wont work!

Hi and Welcome to the Community,

Sadly, from "wont work right" (sic), it's pretty much impossible to help you. Can you perhaps be a bit more specific? What exactly do you try? What exactly happens at each step of what you try? If there are any error messages presented, the exact and complete content of those could of course be quite helpful in understanding your situation.

Do other internet-based services work? If not, then you should probably contact your mobile service provider to ensure that you are subscribed to, from them, an adequate data plan to enable the services you desire.

Good luck!

RE: My apps wont work!

When I go into the App World, it says these exact words 'We cannot connect you to BlackBerry App World. Please ensure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again'. I don't know why it does that as I am connected to my Network. When I load Twitter, it shows tweets from a while ago. When I try to refrest it says ' Twitter services are unavailable'. When I load facebook it says 'We cannot reach the Facebook server at this time. Please try agin later. (100). These apps do work sometimes but they always stop working alot and im freaking out! PLease help :smileysad:

Re: RE: My apps wont work!

OK, no need to freak out...it's just technology, after all.

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):

1) Register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app

2) Resend Service Books

  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

3) Batt Pull Reboot

  • Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you contact your mobile service provider for formal support as they are responsible for delivering ALL services to you.

Good luck!
