My bbm suddenly stopped working

I turned my phone off when I got to school yesterday and then turned it back on once I had finished school, I then went onto bbm and all of my recent updates were from the morning, I gave it 10 minutes to warm up but my friends bbm was working fine. I have restarted it 3 times and it still doesn't work?!

Excatly what problem you're having currently , Are those other data services working on your BlackBerry , like facebook for BlackBerry , Twitter and emails etc. 

 

Have you performed a Battery pull reboot ! If not then do it by removing the battery while your device is Powered On 

wait for a min. then re-insert it back .

My recent updates are coming up on BBM, I'm not receiving any messages on BBM, my text messages work, Internet doesn't. I have rebooted my phone 3 times taking the battery out and still nothing

Text message is a part of Voice level services not Data Services. whenever we have any problem with data services we can try those steps in a sequence :

 

1- Register your Handheld .

  • KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.

2- Resend your Service Book

  • KB02830 : Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • ( Wait till a Registration Message comes in your message box for each email that you have configured on your device )

3-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back

 

 

You have to receive those registration message in your message box. Or you have call your Carrier or wireless service provider to know if they were having any problem with their network. as you're having problem with only your data services.
