Network out of order

Hi, not sure if this problem has already been addressed. When sending SMS sometimes I get a red x and the "Network out of order" message. Sometimes it takes a long time for this message to get to the where it needs to go. I did see this help:

  1. On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, navigate to Options > SMS.
  2. Scroll to the field Network To Send Over.
  3. Open the menu and select Change Option. Change the value of the field to GPRS.
  4. Open the menu and select Save.
  5. Attempt to send another SMS message

But on my phone in the "Network to send over" its got the following options:

Circuit Switched

Circuit Switched Preferred

Packet Switched Preferred

Packet Switched

What should I do to resolve this problem?

Thanks for any help provided

Re: Network out of order

Hello SukhiAujla07,

The following article should provide you with more information regarding the "Network out of order" message you are receiving when attempting to send an SMS message on your BlackBerry® smartphone:

If you are unable to complete the steps successfully, we suggest that you contact your wireless service provider for further assistance.

Please read the post above again pls! I have the same problem and I am unable to reseolve FOR THE SAME REASONS!

To repeat.......

"But on my phone in the "Network to send over" its got the following options:

What should I do to resolve this problem?"

So....since GPRS is NOT an option, how can this problem be resolved with the 4 choices of options?

Re: Network out of order

You should select "Circuit Switched".

FYI, SMS charactor limit is 160. When it's over the limit, you get "Network out of order" message.
