New to BB, txt file transfers question

Hello everyone,

I've recently picked up a Blackberry Curve from Verizon and the guy that sold me on it said I'd be able to put text files from my computer (straight ASCII txt) over onto the memory card of the Blackberry for viewing.  I'm having a real hard time trying to find this.  I bumped into the media transfer program but it will not run on my PC as I run Win2000 and I am unable to upgrade due to pieces of hardware that must continue running.

Any ideas?

Thanks much!

Thanks for the response.  I've got them to talk.. however..

How can I set up a BB menu item to drop me right into a directory of files I've uploaded to the media card?

Re: New to BB, txt file transfers question

I don't understand your question. Please correct me:
you are able to upload files (a simple text type file) on the Blackberry Memory card
you want to read it from the blackberry

Let me spell it out like as if it was a Windows system.  I want to place a shortcut on the desktop to link directly to a directory/folder on my media card.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

ok I understand.

for a regular user, this is not possible.
I guess you could code a java application to do that.
