Next curve update

I am curious when to expect the next curve update?  Ever since the last upgrade, my alarm clock does not illuminate the time at night by my bedside like it use to.  Is does however work just like it should when connected to my PC via the USB cord.  I was hoping to see the upgrade take care of this issue.

Re: Next curve update

No one knows when... the operating systems are developed by RIM and released to the carriers for certification and support training and then the carriers release as they wish.

There could be aleady a more recent release than you have, from a another carrier. What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.5.0.x.xxx", What is yours?

Re: Next curve update

5.0.0.1030 is the latest version officially released.

I do not know if it fixes the issue you mention.

The download and instructions are in this link:

Re: Next curve update

I am still wondering when Blackberry will ever release the 6.0 Operating System for Curve 8530. Has there been any news regarding that?

Re: Next curve update

I assume if I go through "wireless update" on my BB and it says "no update available", that statement is not necessarily correct?

huh?

Some users might worry they will void their device warranty by loading an OS from another carrier. There is really nothing to worry about.
Please read more information on that here:
