My BB keeps rebooting during a sync and then does it a few times a day. Someone asked about this in 2009 but I couldn't find a reply

Have you tried pulling the battery with the power on and leaving it out for a couple of minutes?

I am going to try the battery pull.
When you say "power on", you don't mean plugged in, just turned on?
Does leaving the battery out longer do anything? RIM says 20 seconds, I think.
But my goodness, the RIM reboots slower than Windows 98.

Not plugged in to either the wall or the computer.
20 secs is the stock answer, but the longer the better has been shown by experience.
Slow reboot? I usually go and make a coffee when booting either my BB or the computer (XP) seems about the right timeing.

ok, I will try a longer battery pull.
I assume it doesn't corrupt any data memory?
My Win7 boots in 1 min, my old Win98 takes 10 min.
I just bought the BB, was shocked at the long boot time.

Timed the BB boot...8 minutes.
mind-boggling.

No, the facility was built into the BB and as far as I am away, it is the device that has it.
The time to reboot does seem a little excessive. Which OS are you running Menu > Optons > About and Options > Status to find the file free data.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I have pulled the battery but put it right back in. I'll try the longer time as suggested by others.
This happens during sync and at random during the day.
I'll see what happens

Well, the battery pull hasn't worked.
Any other suggestions are welcome as my BB keeps rebooting on a daily basis.

Which OS are you using - Menu > Options > About
have you recently upgraded the OS or downloaded an app?
